NAKED MASSACRE (75) aka Born for Hell; Die Hinrichtung. Grim retelling of the Richard Speck murder case with Speck recast as an impotent ‘Nam vet drifter in Belfast! He brandishes a jumbo size switchblade and makes a flabby hooker dance while he plays "Oh Susanna" on the harmonica before getting down to business at a boarding house full of nurses. He makes two of the Florence Nightingales dance with each other, then has them strip and makes one go down on the other while he whips the first one on the ass with his belt! He stabs and or strangles all but one, who hides under the bed. The last to die giggles uncontrollably and eats cake with him before stabbing herself to death! There’s also a extremely gruesome wrist slashing in a toilet scene and one character comments that the murders are "worse than that fellow in Chicago." Order

NAKED VENGEANCE (85) aka Satin Vengeance. Completely UNCUT 97 minute version of this kick-ass femme revenge flick from Cirio Santiago (the genius behind The Muthers) starring Dallas' Deborah Tranelli. So similar in style and content to I Spit on Your Grave that it could have been titled I Spit in Your General Direction. Order

THE NAME OF THE GAME IS KILL! (68) aka The Female Trap. Extremely rare shocker starring a young Jack "Book 'em Dano" Lord and an even younger Susan Strasberg. Jack plays a Hungarian hitchhiker who runs up against yet another dysfunctional desert-dwelling family: three sisters (the good one, the bad one, and the dumb but boneable one) and a mom who isn't quite what or who she appears to be. Effectively creepy (the baby doll heads hanging from chains in the barn were a nice touch) with music by the Electric Prunes! Order

NEVER PICK UP A STRANGER (79) aka Bloodrage. Sleazy, low-rent meanness from Joseph Zito. Ian Scott stars as a quiet creepo who more or less accidentally kills a hooker (woops!) when she threatens to call his mom. He flees to Times Square where he holes up in a shitbox hotel room, gets a job at a Yoo Hoo factory and offs a few more women before the dead hooker's cop boyfriend shows up to take him down. Scott narrates the majority of the picture ("the headaches have almost stopped now") for that "inside the mind of a killer" feel, the locations are suitably depressing and the murders, while few and far between, are surprisingly brutal and cold-hearted. All in all, this thing does exactly what it sets out to do: be a total downer! Order

NEW YORK NIGHTS (84) Collection of nine interlocking tales of the city plays out like an exploitation version of Slacker, with sleazy characters known to us only by their social type or occupation (The Husband, The Model, The Porno Star, The Prostitute, The Debutante, The Financier) interacting back and forth by choice or chance. Writer and producer Romano Vanderbes (Jabberwalk; This is America I & II) along with director Simon Nuchtern (The Girl Grabbers; That Man is Pregnant) give this a totally ‘80s, totally “Mondo New York” feel, complete with discos, Times Square at night, limo sex, women’s freestyle lingerie kickboxing, men’s room sex, body piercing, kinky photo shoots, a visit to Plato’s Retreat, Penthouse Pet Corinne Alphen (Corinne Wahl) and Baggies full of cocaine! Hell, it’s even got Rod Stewart’s “Passion” as it’s theme song! Order

NIGHT FLOWERS (79) aka Night Angels. Here’s a bleak, sleazy rarity that you won’t find anywhere else. Two psychotic Vietnam vets on the brink of total meltdown wander the streets of New York futilely trying to connect with members of the opposite sex. The "smart" one comes up with the brilliant idea of putting an ad up at the grocery store inviting young girls to come share their ratty flea pit apartment. When a potential roomie does in fact show up she’s offered pizza and beer before being mauled and murdered. Hey, just because they’re psychos doesn’t mean they ain’t gents! Later a gay guy named "Danny Disco" shows up (complete with Saturday Night Fever suit and wraparound sunglasses) and, well, he doesn’t get any pizza and beer. Order

NIGHTMARE HONEYMOON (73) aka Deadly Honeymoon. Lurid, Louisiana-lensed thriller stars Dack Rambo as a Vietnam vet who goes gunning for the pair of hillbilly thugs who boned his blushing bride (Rebecca Diana Smith) on their wedding night. Based on a Lawrence Block novel and originally slated to be directed by Nicolas Roeg, who bowed out after a week. Michael Weldon called this one "sadistic" and Leonard Maltin described it as "unpleasant." Hey, sounds like two thumbs up to us! Order

NIGHT OF THE ANIMALS (71) Greezy, sleezy softcore blaxploitation roughie with a home invasion theme. Salt and pepper convict duo escapes from the “work farm” (which looks more like the edge of a vacant lot somewhere), meet up with their waiting skanky sister with wheels and set off on a crosstown crime spree, which culminates in the violation of an unsuspecting whitebread family. Nasty no-budget nonsense with that certain something extra (we’re guessing it’s mold). Order

NORMA (70) Accurately described by one reviewer as "a topless Marnie" this raincoat crowd pleaser from "Ted Roter" (Peter Bakaloff) showcases the ample charms of Maddy Maguire. Maddy plays  Norma, a troubled nympho seeking psychiatric help. Norma's problem is that every time she makes it with a guy (or a girl, or a group of people) just as she's about to climax she has this horrible vision of the man who pitch forked her first love to death when she was a teenager. Which of course is an excellent excuse for lots of flashbacks of Norma's canoodlings, including having sex on the stage of an empty movie theatre while psychedelic stag films play on the screen, a lapse into lesbianism (or was that just lesbians lapping?), being menaced by a sadistic, whip-wielding biker who turns out to be all bark and no bite, and a three-way at a wild swing party! With Uschi Digard and Buck Flower! Order
