BIZARRE (87)aka Profumo. Kinky psychological smut fest about a woman dominated by her sadistic, sex obsessed husband. He likes to treat her like a whore, "pretend" to violate her and threaten her by thrusting a pistol in her coochie! As much a she hates to admit it, she kind of gets off on the whole thing but she’s determined to break free of him. So, in a twisted variation of role reversal, she seduces a naive young man and gradually manipulates him into playing the part of "her" (going so far as making him wear makeup and a dress) while she takes the role of her domineering husband and treats him like her bitch! Definitely lives up to its title and worth a look. Order

BLEEDER (99) Taut, violent and just overall creepy sophomore effort from Danish wunderkind Nicolas Winding Refn. Four friends, all B film fanatics, act and react to each other as one of them spirals dangerously out of control upon learning that his wife is expecting a baby. No dogme doodie here, just some harsh, badass filmmaking with lots of knowing nods to exploitation cinema and an amazing video store that’s every moviehound’s wetdream cometo life. Recommended. A heavily medicated Dennis Hopper sweats his way through this oddball obscurity about a hippy named "Chicken" who gets mixed up with hard-hearted Hollywood has been Treasure Evans (played all too realistically by Carroll Baker) and her crew of degenerate ex-patriates down MeHeeCo way. BLUE MOVIE (78) If you’re looking for the wildest, weirdest, most brain damaging film in this entire section this is definitely IT. Warped genius Alberto Cavallone pulls out all the stops in this twisted tale of a brutalized sex crime victim who unwittingly takes refuge in the home of a fucked up fashion photographer who keeps a subservient model in his attic. A veritable A to Z of taboo breaking. For true connoisseurs only, no amateurs please. Italian language. X-rated. Order

BLUE NUDE (77) Gritty snuff porn rarity from director Luigi Scattini. Gerardo Amato stars as a small time 42^nd Street hustler who makes ends meet working as a male stripper, dog walker, and porno movie extra. He falls for one of the starlets but she meets an untimely end in a REALLY ugly sex and strangulation scene complete with camera whirring throughout. Driven mad with rage, Ger’ pulls a Travis Bickle and guns down the camera crew in a darkened stairwell then casually walks off into the night. Nothing quite like a happy ending is there? BRIGADE OF DEATH (85) aka Vice Squad; Brigade des Moeurs. Wild, ultraviolent sex’n’sleaze from Europorn legend Max Pecas. You know you’re in for a treat when in the opening scene half naked shemale hookers are chased through the woods and gunned down by shotgun wielding motorcyclists! Great looking letterboxed French language print. Order  

THE BRUTE (73) Heavy handed (sorry, couldn’t resist) British exploitation on the touchy subject (oops, did it again) of wife beating. Sarah Douglas plays the punching bag in question, a fashion model whose brutish spouse (the aptly named Peter Bull) likes to spring on her unexpectedly ala Inspector Clouseau’s butler, afterwards telling her not to worry, "it’ll be cleared up by the weekend." When her he-man hubby crosses the line and comes at her with a branding iron Sarah finally dumps him and seeks refuge at a women’s shelter. There she discovers that she and her pummeled peers all have one thing in common: They just won’t listen! Director Gerry O’Hara followed up with a short-lived children’s television series called Professor Popper’s Problem which, come to think of it, could’ve been an alternate title for this movie. Order

BURNING LIPS (76) aka Excitation; The French Governess; Calde Labre; Maitresse a Tout Faire. Petite Leonora Fani (Giallo a Venezia) and Claudine Beccarie star in this sordid little number about a shy young woman whose mother leaves her in the care of a French governess while away on a business trip. Well, guess what? The governess is a (Howard Stern voice) leeeeeeesbian! Extremely rare hardcore version in good quality. Italian language. Order

BYE BYE, MONKEY (78) aka Ciao Maschio; Adios, al Macho. Meandering absurdism from Marco Ferreri starring Gerard Depardieu as a stoic special effects artist for a theater company of rape and violence-obsessed  women who moonlights as a sculptor for a wax museum. One day Ger' finds an abandoned young chimp hiding in the comforting folds of one of his creations– an enormous King Kong-ish corpse darkly displayed on a New York beach. He adopts the little fellow ("I don't give a fuck about race"), only to unsuccessfully and repeatedly attempt to re-abandon it before finally accepting his chosen fate and registering "Cornelius" with the Department of Immigration. Two things this movie is full of: Gerard's inexplicable habit of blowing on a coach's whistle for no good reason (sometimes even speaking through it ala Harpo Marx) and porn starlet Abigail Clayton's much-welcomed birthday suit on frequent display.
