Caroline Milmoe stars as Melanie, a ripe to the point of bursting 15-year old. When her parents are killed in a plane crash she, along with her younger brother and sister, is sent to live with their evil Uncle Philip, an eccentric toymaker, along with his mute wife and her two shifty looking brothers. In no time Uncle Phil has poor little Melanie literally dancing to his tune, when she's strung up as a human marionette on his private basement stage, the latest member of "Flower's Marionette Microcosm." You see, Mel's about to take a star turn in Unc's next production, a faithful retelling of "Lida and the Swan." And only one thing is certain: before the night's out somebody's goose is going to be cooked! A wonderful, multi-layered fairytale  that uses some nifty camera tricks to good effect while at the same time daring to flirt with a number of taboo subjects including incest and teenage sexuality. MAN FROM DEEP RIVER (72) aka Deep River Savages; Deep River Cannibals; Sacrifice!; Mondo Cannibale. The very cornerstone of the cannibal gut-muncher genre, directed by Umberto Lenzi and starring Ivan Rassimov and Me Me Lai (Me Me Next!) who teamed up again for the previously listed Jungle Holocaust (which was originally intended as a sequel to this picture, also to be directed by Lenzi, but that's another story). Very similar in structure to "JH" only on this go 'round our unexpected dinner guest's a photographer, not an oil baron, he's in Thailand, not the Amazon, and the slopeheads think he's a fish, not a bird. He IS a little more chivalrous, but Me Me dies anyway. But enough about the plot. What you need to know is that there's MORE than enough gore and carnage to make this an essential part of any self-respecting gorehound's collection. Includes trailer. Order

Goofy tongue-in-cheek action comedy from Anthony Dawson about an indestructible muscle man and his sidekick who are hired to rescue a kidnapped boy from Hung Lo(!), evil leader of a band of slap happy karate fighters. MURDER IN A BLUE WORLD (73) aka Clockwork Terror; Una Gota de Sangre Para Morir Amando; Le Bal du Vaudou. Sue Lyon, Jean Sorel and Chris Mitchum star in Eloy de la Iglesia’s violent shocker set in a near future world where delinquents run wild while a twisted hospice nurse kills off her lovers by stabbing them through the heart. Stylish, gory and with a decidedly warped sense of humor. In one scene leather clad, dune buggy riding thugs wearing motorcycle helmets and brandishing bullwhips invade the home of a well to do family watching Clockwork Orange and give them the full droog treatment. And in another, Sue Lyon (who played the title role in Kubrick’s Lolita) finishes off a victim while a copy of the Nabokov classic is displayed prominently on the night stand! Order
