With mild bondage, flying witches, erotic dreams, a nude childlike killer fembot, and music by OMD, The Art of Noise, UB40, and The Pretenders. Order

VENGEANCE (76) aka El Perro; A Dog Called...Vengeance. Jason Miller (The Exorcist) is a mathematician with a radical slant in a Central American political prison where the dictatorship is notoriously represented by The Benefactor and his dog. When a fellow prisoner gets his hand trapped under the wheel of a convoy truck, the guards are too busy CUTTING OFF HIS ARM to notice that the math guy has escaped with crucial information for the underground resistance. During the subsequent manhunt, El Perro receives one last command from his dying, bullet-ridden master: "KILL." What follows is a relentless, ruthless, bloody and brutal pursuit of man by beast that's actually mighty tight and suspenseful. VIY (67) aka Vij; Vij, King of the Ghosts. Awesome Russian fantasy film (subtitled in English) based on a folktale about a seminary student who accidentally kills a witch and must spend three increasingly bizarre nights attempting to exorcize her spirit. Lots of weird imagery (our favorite’s the scene of the witch flying around in her coffin like it’s a motorboat and riding it like a surfboard) with an incredible ending where the priest-to-be is assaulted by giant clawed hands coming up out the floor, demons climbing out of the walls, ghouls and goblins galore, and has a final showdown with the evil Viy himself! Recommended! Order
